Blue Marlin Excursions is built around a local Ukulhas owner and guide, Hamid, known as Haappey. The idea is simple: listen first, recommend honestly, and give travelers a better sea day than a generic excursion desk can.
I'm Hamid, though everyone in Ukulhas calls me Haappey. Blue Marlin Excursions is my own small excursion business, run from this island in the Maldives. When you message, you reach the person who plans your sea day and takes you out on it, not a booking desk.
I have been on this water since I was about six years old, fishing and learning the reefs around Ukulhas long before any of it became a business. The sea here is not a product to me. It is where I grew up.
That is why I plan trips the way I do. I would rather read the day's conditions, know where the marine life is likely to be, and give you an honest plan than sell a fixed package that ignores what the sea is actually doing.
I only take guests where I would happily take my own family.
How I plan your day
I start with your group, not a package. I will ask what kind of day you are after, how many of you are coming, and whether anyone is a nervous swimmer or travelling with children, then shape the trip around that.
It is also why combo and custom days are a normal part of what I offer. Pairing something like a manta search with a calm sandbank stop often gives couples and families the best day for their time and budget.
